The Diary of Anne Frank, Act I and II

1.The families must obey strict rules to avoid discovery. Which rule would be the hardest for you to follow?Why?
The families that were hiding had very strict rules to avoid discovery, the rule that will be the hardest to follow will be to stay quiet in the morning to all the afternoon this is the rule that will be really hard for me to follow because there are so much things you have to do at this time and for example you need to eat or use the bathroom.


2.(A)In scene 1, what objects does Mr. Frank find in the secret rooms?
One of the objects that Mr. Frank find in the secret room was the diary of his daughter Anne Frank.(B)How are these objects connected with the rest of the act? This objects are connected to the story because with out the diary there will be no story of their live in hiding.


3.(A)What special meaning does Hanukkah have for the families? The word Hanukkah is a celebration that lasts eight days, for the families is a time to be all together and thank god for still be alive.(B) What do Anne's presents show about her? Anne's presents shows that she is a very happy girl, she likes to play, talk , and do everything a girl of her age will do.(C) Why do the others react with enthusiasm to their presents? The other people react to enthusiasm to their presents that Anne gave them because they didn't expect to get nothing because of everything that was going on.


4.With a partner, discuss Mr. Frank statement, "There are....no locks that anyone can put on your mind."How does this Anne prove that this is true? Anne Frank prove that this statement is true because she never change her mind that all people were good persons even after all she pass through.


5. (A)What is the historical cause that forces the Frank to go into hiding? The historical cause that force the Frank family to go into hiding was that all the Jews or have some part of Jews blood were put in camps were they were put to work and get killed.
(B)What effects does this situation have on their daily lives? The effects of all this was that they were not able to make noise or talk for an amount of time and this affect them because this had to be very hard to do.


6.(A) What effects do the Nazis intend the wearing of the stars to have on the Jews? I think that they wanted to make the Jews feel discriminate and feel like the bad people that have to be killed or put to work without get paid.(B)What background information about the war and the Nazis' treatment of the Jews helps you to link this cause with its intended effects? It help me to understand all the person or families like the Frank and Van Daan went in to hiding and why.


7.Reveals character and relationships; the families that were hiding
Advances the action of the plot: When the Frank and Van Daan families went into hiding.
Develops the conflict: the families start a fight because of the food.

8.When the Franks and Van Daans accept Jan Dussel to join them in hiding, it tells that they are good persons but they will still have little problems but they will all be able to solve them because they are the only persons they could trust and they all live together.

Act II

1.What do you like best about Anne Frank? How would like having hers a friend? What i like the best about Anne Frank is that she was always in a good mood, she was always happy and making his family happy too. I will like to have her as a friend because she will always make be happy and smile.


2.(A)What disturbing news does Mr.Kraler bring on New Year's Day? She told them about a man named Carl who ask her who was Mr. Frank and he told her that he remember that were the bookcase is there was a door and he said that he want more many.(B)What hint does this give about the ending of the play? I tells the he will tell the Nazis were they are hiding.


3.(A)What is the time span of Act II? The time span of Act II was in the attic rooms of the building were they were all hiding from the Germany Nazis.(B)How have the characters changed since the end of Act I? The Characters change since the end of Act I for example Anne and Peter start to get along and they also get to be very close friends.(C)How do you know that Anne has changed? I know that Anne has changed because of everything that has happen to her and because she can't do normal things that a girl of her age will do because she and her family have to hid.

4(A)How can Anne believe that"...in spite of everything ...people are really good at heart?"Anne still believe that in spite of everything people are really good at heart because that just what she believes and think of all the people.(B) What does Mr. Frank mean when he says:"She puts me to Shame" What he is trying to said is that after all they have been thought Anne still believe that all people are good even the Nazis and all the other person that murder many Jews people.

5.(A)Mr.Van Daan 's decision to steal food, cause; he was very hungry and he need it more food for him to eat, effect; MR. and MRS.Frank get into an argument about the food he still and Mrs. Frank want him to leave the house.(B)Msr.Frank's change of heart about wanting the Van Daans to leave, cause; Mr. Van Daan steal food from them and that makes her very angry, effect:Later she decided that they could still live with them until Miep finds them a place, she agree because she want to protect Peter.

6.What are the possible causes of Mrs.Van Daan's attitude toward Anne and Peter relationship?Some of the possibles causes of Mrs. Van Daan's attitude toward Anne and Peter relationship is that she always see them together and she see that they get very well and she also thinks that something is happening between them two.

7. Living in close quarters has multiple effects on the residents of the "Secret Annex". List three effects that result from this single cause.
1. They didn't have time to talk or make noise from a long period time.
2. They were always worry about being discover.
3. They didn't want the Nazi to discover them because their Jews and they might get killed.

9.What possible motivations might an informer have for telling the authorities about the families in hiding?An informer motivations to tell the authorities about the families in hiding could be that that person does not like the family and they want bad things for them or because there mean persons that just want to see good people suffer.
